DAWG'ON BLUES
DAWG’ON BLUES – AGM REPORT JANUARY 2018
From 2010 to 2017, The Ottawa Blues Society’s DAWG’ON BLUES kept listeners up to date on what was happening on the local and Canadian blues scene while playing great blues music and showcasing local, regional, Canadian and international talent.
From August 2010 to August 2016, DAWG’ON BLUES aired on terrestrial radio at 101.9 DAWG FM Sundays at 8-9 pm. From August 2016 to November 2017, DAWG’ON BLUES broadcasted online, Sundays 8-9 pm and was repeated Mondays 2-3 pm and Thursdays 9-10 am at: www.dawgfm.com The last broadcast of DAWG’ON BLUES was the week of November 19, 2017. Currently there are a number of previously-broadcasted 2017 DAWG’ON BLUES Shows posted to our website and available for your listening pleasure.
Throughout the years, our grassroots, weekly Show boasted the following, dedicated volunteer Hosts: at the time of going “off the air”: myself, Liz Sykes, Brent Diab, Steve Lund, Larry Deszcz and Suzie Gahrns; and, from previous years: Brent Buck Tingley, Jeff Laroque, Burl Miller and Mike Graham.
Thanks to our friends at DAWG FM for their ongoing support over the past seven years of broadcasting DAWG’ON BLUES, especially to Ed Torres and Frank Torres (Torres Media Inc.), Jeff Provencal (Production) and Todd Bernard (General Manager). Special thanks to all our listeners!
