The OBS Christmas Party is scheduled for December 19, 2009 at Tucson's, 2440 Bank Street, Ottawa, featuring the Jesse Greene Band (Jesse Greene, Marc Seguin, Dan Grewal, Jason Cote and Luke Donovan).
Catch Ottawa's representative to this year's International Blues Challenge in a full evening of entertainment to showcase the winning act and to help raise funds to cover their expenses to travel to the international competition in Memphis Tennessee, January 2010. All OBS members who attend will receive a gift CD.
In conjunction with the OBS Christmas Party, Saturday, December 19 at Tucson's, the Ottawa Blues Society will host our Annual General Meeting which will include elections for two Directors.
The Ottawa Blues Society will again participate in the Blues Foundation's International Blues Challenge. The winner will go to Memphis TN, January 20-23, 2010, as the OBS representative in the 26th IBC.

Congratulations to Jesse Greene, Marc Seguin, Dan Grewal, Jason Cote and Luke Donovan.
The final was held at Tucson's on Friday Sept 25th with 4 finalists from the 1st and 2nd Rounds.
The Jesse Greene Band, Mumbo Jumbo Voodoo Combo, Phlegm and The Drew Nelson Band packed the house and put in solid performances showcasing Ottawa's Best Original Blues Muisc.
The Jesse Greene Band will go to Memphis, TN January 20-23, 2010 to compete as the OBS representative in the 26th International Blues Challenge.
The Rainbow celebrates 25 years of live music this November. Several notable performances are scheduled including the 23rd Annual R & B Festival.
On The Road To Memphis Winners from 2008 and 2009 perform back to back with MonekyJunk November 6th and The Jesse Greene Band November 7th.

The Ottawa Blues Society is interested in supporting blues related events run by other groups or individuals. The OBS is particularly interested in events that showcase, promote, encourage or in some way engage the public in awareness of blues in Canada by supporting blues activities in the Ottawa area. Anyone is welcome to suggest events for the OBS to sponsor.

- Raise the profile of the blues as a music genre by reaching new audiences or presenting blues innovatively
- Can be reasonably priced to appeal to a broad audience
